La Palapa Eco Lodge is a hidden gem! We loved our cozy villa surrounded by nature, and the pool area felt so peaceful. Enjoyed exploring the local trails and visiting the nearby waterfall. Just a heads up, some areas need a bit more upkeep, but it didn't ruin our vibe at all!

I loved waking up in my Junior Suite surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. The garden area was beautifully maintained, with various flowering plants and tall native trees creating a tranquil atmosphere. The outdoor swimming pool offered a perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun after exploring the beautiful trails nearby.

We celebrated our anniversary here, enjoying a well-decorated room deep in the mountains. The soothing sounds of the jungle provided a perfect backdrop! The owners were kind, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. Make sure to take advantage of the nearby trails for birdwatching!

Just a top selection for short visits in Portalon with best value for money ratio. The bungalow we got was comfortable, and the ceiling fan helped keep the place cool. Pro tip, bring your own snacks since the breakfast is simple.

We stayed in a Garden Double Room for 1 night, and it was really spacious and clean with a lovely private patio. The bathroom had tons of hot water, and new towels were a nice touch. The jungle surroundings were super peaceful. We got to see a lot of birds. Just so you know, this place is a bit remote, so if you’re out late, double-check those gate rules so you don’t get locked out!
